چکیده

Methodology: We enrolled 30 patients (14 males and 16 females) with chronic neck pain respiratory dysfunction fulfilling inclusion criteria. Two trials of CAROM measurement for flexion, extension, left right lateral flexion rotation were performed, a gap one week to measure test retest reliability CROM device. Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), standard errors (SEM) minimal detectable change (MDC) calculated the intrarater reliability.
Results: Intrarater repeated measurements using device was found be good. The ICC values ranged between 0.88-0.97 0.93-0.98 0.92-0.98 flexion,0.93-0.98 flexion. For it 0.88-0.97, 0.95-0.99. error these movements from 1.5° 2.9°. Minimal 3.5°for extension 6.8°for flexion.
Conclusion: Cervical range motion is reliable tool measuring cervical active in simultaneously suffering dysfunction.

The Reliability and Concurrent Validity of Digital Inclinometer, Smartphone Applications, and the Cervical Range of Motion Device for Measuring the Cervical Range of Motion

Objectives: Changes in the Range of Motion (ROM) are essential criteria in determining the severity of spinal disorders and could be effective in predicting pain progression. Instruments to measure the ROM are costly and unavailable in most therapy settings. While there is a tendency in therapists to use their smartphones instead, there is no report to measure the suitability of smartphones to ...

Comparison of Stability Training with and without Positional Release Technique on the Pain, Neck Range of Motion in Men with Chronic Neck Pain

Introduction: Neck pain is the second common musculoskeletal disorder Clinical trial only by back pain. Despite the high prevalence of neck pain, its treatment is still a major challenge. Neck stabilizer training is a technique designed to improve the internal mechanisms of the spine which causes cervical spine stability and invulnerability. On the other hand, manual treatments are low-costly w...

Reproducibility of cervical range of motion in patients with neck pain

BACKGROUND Reproducibility measurements of the range of motion are an important prerequisite for the interpretation of study results. The aim of the study is to assess the intra-rater and inter-rater reproducibility of the measurement of active Range of Motion (ROM) in patients with neck pain using the Cybex Electronic Digital Inclinometer-320 (EDI-320). METHODS In an outpatient clinic in a p...
